More bus disruption this week and next
Transport woes are to continue for commuters this week as bus workers have called new walkouts for Wednesday and Friday between 11 a.m. and 4.30 p.m.
The bus workers’ union (ETHEL) also announced work stoppages for next Wednesday (March 9), Friday (March 11) and Monday (March 14).
Sources have indicated that trolley bus employees, who staged a work stoppage on Monday along bus staff, are planning another six work stoppages in the first half of March.
It remained unclear on Monday whether staff on the metro, tram and Piraeus-Kifissia electric railway (ISAP) are planning any new action over the coming weeks.
