Second homeless man found dead in Athens

A second homeless man has been found dead in Athens after a cold snap in the city.

According to Skai TV, the man was discovered on Mavromataion Street in the city center. He was identified as a homeless migrant who usually begged for money at Pedio tou Areos park.

Another homeless man was found dead in the central district of Thiseio earlier this week.

The deaths of both men are being attributed to the dip in temperatures over the past few days.

Meanwhile, sanitation workers at the Ano Liosia dump informed the police that they discovered part of a man?s body in rubbish bag.

Officers said that it was the lower half of the body, possibly that of a migrant. They said that such discoveries had been made at the dump in the past and are probably the result of the settling of scores between gangs.
