Keratea residents block Lavriou Avenue again

Residents of Keratea, southeast of Athens, have closed Lavriou Avenue again just a day after a bulldozer cleared a makeshift blockade amid a heavy police presence.

However, residents protesting plans to construct a waste management center near the village again placed rubble on the road, which connects Athens to the port of Lavrio, during the night.

This means that cars and trucks are being diverted through Keratea.
