Four-day media blackout in Greece
A four-day media blackout began in Greece on Thursday morning after journalists and employers failed to agree on new collective contracts.
Unions representing journalists at newspapers, magazines, radio, television and on the Internet called two consecutive 48-hour strikes starting from 6 a.m. on Thursday.
The unions said in a statement that they are asking for ?the signing of satisfactory collective contracts, the safeguarding of established rights and jobs and an end to wage reductions.?
As a result of the strike, this site will not be updated until Monday morning.
