Four held for child pornography

Three Greeks and a foreign national were detained on Monday on charges of using the Internet to trade in hardcore pornography depicting children.

The arrests were carried out in different parts of Attica and Evia following a lengthy investigation by members of Attica?s electronic crimes squad, carried out in cooperation with police in Evia. Police said they are seeking another three people, including a 15-year-old youth, believed to have been trading child pornography over the Internet.

Searches conducted on the homes of the four suspects currently in custody turned up several computer hard drives and laptops containing images of minors being sexually abused, police said.
