Municipal workers on strike over longer hours

Municipal employees are on strike on Wednesday after their union, POE-OTA, decided to hold a 24-hour protest against the government?s plans to increase working hours in the public sector.

Apart from municipalities, other services such as public nursery schools will be closed on Wednesday.
