Defense Minister Yiannos Papantoniou (l) met in Berlin yesterday with his German counterpart, Peter Struck. They agreed that Britain must take part in any European defense system that is to be developed. They also agreed that a common defense plan should be approved by the Convention on the Future of Europe. Papantoniou is to visit France today.
