Greek man arrested in Bali drug haul

Indonesian police have arrested a Greek man who allegedly tried to smuggle nearly 1 million euros? worth of methamphetamine — also known as crystal meth — onto the resort island of Bali, Agence France-Presse quoted a local customs official as saying on Wednesday.

The suspect, identified by the news agency as Nikolaos Bouikidis, who could face the death penalty if convicted, was found to have 4.2 kilograms of the drug hidden in the lining of his suitcase, according to Made Wijaya, head of the Ngurah Rai customs office.
