Union warns of fuel shortage

The president of the union representing refinery workers, Giorgos Asmatoglou, has warned that the current stock of fuel in the market will last for another three days.

Customs officials who clear fuel refinery deliveries hold a 24-hour strike on Monday — after an Athens court declared their planned 10-day walkout illegal — and will decide whether to extend their action, potentially hitting petrol supplies.

?[Gas stations] will begin to run out of fuel within a maximum of three days,? Asmatoglou told Skai television on Monday.
