Robbers get more and more ruthless

Robbers are becoming increasingly ruthless as well as original in planning and executing robberies, as the two incidents occurring in the early hours of Saturday show.

The first one was at the Timios Stavros clinic at Aegaleo, western Athens, where eight men entered the hall, lifted off a Piraeus Bank cash machine and left.

The second was at Thissio, near Acropolis. An unknown number of suspects drove a stolen vehicle into the window of a jewelry shop on Parthenonos Road and left with all the jewels they found on display.

On Friday evening a 50-year-old woman died in Nikaia, near Piraeus, after robbers broke into her apartment on Mavrogenous Road and stabbed her.
