German arrested for human trafficking
A German national alleged to be a people smuggler was arrested on Monday in Igoumenitsa, a coastal city in northwestern Greece, after police authorities found him driving a vehicle that carried an Afghan couple together with their four children ? all of them illegal migrants ? from Athens to Igoumenitsa.
The 40-year-old man has been arrested on human trafficking charges.
