Pharmacies to lose monopoly on baby formula
As of next week, baby milk is likely to be available in supermarkets after the government moved on Tuesday to end a monopoly that favored pharmacies.
In a joint news conference, Development Minister Michalis Chrysochoidis and Health Minister Andreas Loverdos said that the change to market rules would have an immediate impact on what parents pay for baby formula.
?Prices will decrease by 20 percent,? said Chrysochoidis. ?This decision is in line with what the times demand and what the Greek economy needs,? said Loverdos.
