Site guards call weekend strikes
Greek guards say scores of archaeological sites and museums across the country will be shut down over weekends beginning at Christmas as they strike to protest the lack of extra weekend pay.
The guards? association said in a statement that employees have not been paid extra for working weekend shifts for over two months.
It says workers will keep the weekend strike going until the ministries of culture and finance solve the problem. [AP]
