Migrants rescued at border river

Border guards in northern Greece said on Tuesday that they had rescued a group of 11 undocumented migrants, including four minors, from an islet in the middle of the Evros River.

The migrants, who had been trying to sneak into Greece from Turkey, sought refuge on the islet after the waters of the river rose following heavy rainfall, authorities said.
