Robbers fire at police in Athens car chase
Two robbers fired at police from a stolen car on busy Syngrou Avenue in Athens on Friday, police said.
Officers attempted to stop the car as they believed that the two men inside had just broken into an apartment in Palaio Faliro, southern Athens, where the owner had been threatened at gunpoint.
The robbers made off with two computers.
The cars sped off when police approached and a chase on Syngrou Avenue ensued.
The passenger in the car fired at least four times at the police, who lost the vehicle.
Nobody was injured.
