Suspected serial burglars nabbed in Patissia
Police in Athens on Thursday arrested a Georgian and a Bulgarian national believed to be behind a series of burglaries in the district of Kato Patissia, near central Athens.
After receiving a tip-off from local residents, officers found the two men in an apartment block — one running up the stairs in an apparent bid to get to the roof and one hiding under a bed in a flat.
A body search of the two men turned up several tools which they are believed to have used in at least 36 local break-ins.
