Pharmacists balk at conversion demands

Pharmacists in Athens, Piraeus and the Peloponnesian prefecture of Achaia on Friday decided to accept only electronic prescriptions in a protest against a decision by Health Minister Andreas Loverdos to oblige pharmacists to convert all written prescriptions they receive into electronic form.

The pharmacists in these regions did not join a two-day strike called this week by the country?s umbrella union.
