Cab crashes into Igoumenitsa port, one woman dead

A rescue diver on Monday morning recovered the body of a 30-year-old woman from the passenger seat of a taxi that crashed into the port of Igoumenitsa in northwestern Greece.

The unnamed woman, aged 30, is an Albanian national. She was riding in the passenger seat of the taxi when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it plunged into the water.

The driver, aged 55, was rescued by coast guard officers and was unharmed.

Police are investigating.
