Ferries to stay moored in port Monday and Tuesday
The Panhellenic Seamen?s Federation (PNO) has decided to go ahead with rolling 48-hour strikes starting Monday, in protest at the government?s austerity drive, causing severe disruptions to maritime transport.
The PNO confirmed that it would go ahead with the action following fruitless talks with government officials on Saturday.
Seamen are protesting cuts to pensions and demand the signing of collective labor contracts for 2012.
