Acropolis Museum free on Independence Day

Marking Independence Day, the Acropolis Museum in Athens will open its doors free of charge from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 25.

The day will also see the inauguration of a display of the Parthenon?s newly-restored 32nd metope, originally situated on the ancient site?s southwestern wing, which is going on display at the museum for the first time.
