Israeli motorcycle racer dies in northern Greece

A 39-year-old motorcycle racer from Israel died on Friday afternoon after losing control of his vehicle on a race circuit in Serres, northern Greece, the state-run Athens-Macedonian News Agency reported.

The athlete, whose name was not immediately made public, was doing a warm-up run of the circuit when he lost control of his motorcycle. He died of injuries sustained in the accident, according to police reports.

The 39-year-old Israeli national was taking part in a four-day international meet that began on Thursday, called Track Day Moto.
