Tax evaders arrested in Thessaloniki
Two men, aged 50 and 65 years old and partners in a food processing company, were arrested in Thessaloniki on Tuesday for owing the state in excess of 700,000 euros, according to police.
According to the police report the 65-year-old had run up tax arrears and other debts of 367,441 euros from February 2010 to April 2011, while the 50-year-old’s tab reached 367,078 from August 2010 to April 2011, totaling a debt to the state of 734,519 euros.
