OSE to offer reduced price tickets

TrainOSE, the operational arm of the Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE), is to start offering thousands of cut-price tickets every month in a bid to boost passenger traffic and facilitate travel for young people with dwindling incomes, it emerged Thursday.

From Sunday, April 1, TrainOSE is to start offering 3,000 reduced price train tickets every month with a trip from Athens to Thessaloniki, for example, costing 12 euros. Young Greeks aged between 13 and 30 are eligible for a European Youth Card.
