PM to meet with president on Wednesday

Prime Minister Lucas Papademos, who has led Greece’s interim government since November 2011, is due to hold a meeting with President Karolos Papoulias on Wednesday afternoon, during which he is expected to ask for the dissolution of Parliament and the official announcement of general elections, expected to take place on May 6.

Prior to his meeting with the president, Papademos will convene Cabinet to issue final orders.
