Minister calls for psychological support for students
Interim Education Minister Angeliki-Efrosini Kiaou said yesterday that she will be proposing to the government to emerge from the June 17 elections that every school in the country be staffed with a psychologist.
Kiaou said that students need additional support to deal with the pressures of the crisis, following the suicide on Monday of an 18-year-old student in the northern Athens suburb of Nea Erythraia, who had just completed her university entrance exams.
