Police crack down on arms traffickers
In a widespread police operation in the broader Athens region, officers on Wednesday arrested four Greek men — aged between 29 and 41 — on suspicion of running an arms trafficking ring out of several locations around the capital.
Raids conducted on an unlicensed gun shop in Peristeri, a taverna in Petroupoli and on several residences in other parts of the city uncovered large numbers of unlicensed high-grade firearms and ammunition, among other evidence.
