Students march in Thessaloniki
Thessaloniki schoolchildren march through the city center yesterday evening to protest against a lack of sufficient teachers, books and classrooms. A similar protest was held in Athens. Teachers’ unions say secondary schools all over the country are short about 3,500 teachers, while the corresponding figure for primary schools is 1,000. YPA said severe fines were imposed on Axon and the Swissport ground handling services provider, while the companies were told to remove the personnel involved from all Greek airports.
