Omonia Square: a more friendly place
Tables and chairs are expected to adorn outdoor areas in and around Omonia Square in an effort to boost business activity in down town Athens.
The decision was taken by the City of Athens and Omonia Square businesses as a means of reinforcing a sense of safety to locals and visitors.
According to City of Athens officials the move will be based on a set of rules in view of safeguarding the area’s public space order.
