ND-Golden Dawn scuffle verbally in Parliament
Tension rose in Parliament on Thursday when New Democracy deputy Dimitris Kyriazidis accused far-right party Golden Dawn MPs of using national symbols, such as the Greek flag, to carry out violent acts.
Kyriazidis presented Parliament with photographic material stemming from a series of raids on street vendor kiosks carried out in Rafina, northeast of Athens, recently. The conservative deputy claimed that Golden Dawn MPs had used Greek flags as «broomsticks» to carry out the attacks.
Golden Dawn MPs who were present in Parliament engaged in a verbal scuffle with Kyriazidis before leaving the premises.
