Minister limits mobile staff’s phone costs
Administrative Reform Minister Antonis Manitakis revealed on Monday that he is limiting the number of his staff that can have cellphones paid by the government.
The ministry said that Manitakis would keep his phone, as would his bodyguard, his driver and the press spokesman.
Apart from Manitakis, the other three will have their mobile phone bills capped at either 40 or 50 euros.
If they exceed this limit, they will have to pay for the remainder of the bill themselves.
None of the ministry?s special advisers will receive phones or have their bills covered, according to the statement.
