Prosecutor calls for probe into hacking of Finance Ministry website
A prosecutor on Tuesday ordered an urgent investigation into reports that hackers on Monday stole sensitive information from the archives of the General Accounting Office via the Finance Ministry?s website.
Court of first instance prosecutor Haralambos Lakafosis asked the police?s electronic crimes unit to probe the alleged violation.
On Monday, the international hacker group Anonymous uploaded documents accessed from the ministry?s site onto the Internet.
