ERT chief to seek meeting with suspended TV presenters
The head of the governing board of state broadcaster ERT, Nikos Tellis, said on Saturday that he would seek a meeting with the presenters of NET?s morning news program, Marilena Katsimi and Costas Arvanitis (photo), after they were suspended last week for comments regarding Public Order Minister Nikos Dendias?s handling of an investigation into alleged police brutality.
Tellis said that the talks would ?defuse? the tension that arose between ERT?s management and journalists over the decision to suspend them.
