Murderers of pharmacist charged
Two Albanian nationals, aged 29 and 33, were charged Friday with the murder of 54-year-old pharmacist Spyros Poukamisas, who was shot five times near his pharmacy in Renti, southern Athens, on June 13.
Three Greek nationals, aged 23, 25 and 18, and a 26-year-old Albanian were also charged as accomplices to the murder.
According to police, the victim was shot by the two Albanians when he attempted to prevent them from stealing a bag containing 1,600 euros. The police located the suspects through DNA traces found on a pair of gloves left near the murder scene.
