Retrial ordered over 2005 Helios crash acquittals

The Cyprus Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered a retrial in a case regarding the now defunct airline Helios and four of its executives who were last year acquitted of criminal charges over a crash in Grammatiko, north of Athens, in 2005 that killed 121 people.

In April of this year, three of the executives were found guilty of manslaughter and negligence and served, in absentia, with 10-year jail terms.
