Gov’t pledges to pay wages of Thessaloniki transport workers
The government looks set to release at least 10 million euros of funding to cover the wages of public transport workers in Thessaloniki, who were on strike Wednesday.
Central Macedonia Governor Apostolos Tzitzicostas discussed the issue with Alternate Finance Minister Christos Staikouras, who is said to have given assurances that the funding for Thessaloniki’s public transport company (OASTH) would be found.
