Aghios Antonios metro terminus to close over weekend
The Aghios Antonios terminus station on Line Two of the Athens metro will be closed over the weekend to allow tests to be carried out ahead of the scheduled opening of two new stations on the route, Peristeri and Anthoupoli.
A section of the Piraeus-Kifissia electric railway (ISAP) — between Eirini and Kifissia — will also remain shut from 10.30 p.m. onwards on Saturday and Sunday.
Works on the Peristeri-Anthoupoli extension started several years ago but have been dogged with practical problems.
