Eight arrests before and during Olympiakos vs Panathinaikos soccer derby
Eight people were arrested before and during the soccer derby match between Olympiakos and Panathinaikos on Sunday night, police said.
Four men were arrested for throwing objects, including rocks and flares at police.
Two men were arrested after their car was stopped and a taser gun as well as 12 shotgun cartridges were found in the vehicle.
One man was arrested while in possession of two distress flares. Another was caught for having a forged season ticket to Olympiakos’s Karaiskaki Stadium.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
