Cradling their five-day-old babies, New Democracy chairman Costas Karamanlis and his wife Natassa yesterday leave the Athens maternity hospital where the twins, a boy and a girl, were born to the couple on Thursday. President Costis Stephanopoulos and the heads of all Greece’s major political parties conveyed their congratulations to the opposition leader on the birth of his first children.
