Traffic policewoman killed by oncoming car in northern Athenian suburb
A 41-year-old traffic policewoman was killed on Tuesday morning after being hit by a 34-year-old motorist.
The accident occurred at 8 a.m. in the northern Athenian suburb of Kifissia, on the intersection of Kifissias Avenue and Aghiou Dimitriou Street, where the officer was regulating the flow of morning rush-hour traffic.
The driver of the vehicle, a woman aged 34, has been arrested.
The name of the traffic policewoman was not made public.
