One detained, three sought over kidnapping of Pakistani
A 43-year-old Pakistani man was arrested in Livadia, north of Athens, on Tuesday and police were seeking another three suspects in connection with the abduction of another man from Pakistan, aged 22, last week.
Police said the victim was kidnapped from Athens on Friday and taken to a warehouse in Livadia.
He was beaten and his family in Pakistan were forced to pay 6,000 euros for his release.
After receiving the money, the gang released the 22-year-old on Sunday night.
He was seen by a passing driver, who alerted the police.
