Woman accused of murdering pawn shop owner’s son remanded
A 24-year-old woman accused of burgling the home of and murdering a 30-year-old man she met through Facebook last month was remanded in custody along with a 20-year-old man believed to have been her accomplice.
The two suspects were jailed after defending themselves before an investigating magistrate on charges of murdering Giorgos Kotsilidis.
According to sources, the woman admitted to jointly planning to rob Kotsilidis, whose father is a pawn shop owner, but denied masterminding the plan.
A key witness in the police’s investigation is a friend of the 24-year-old woman who said the latter had told her about her plan to rob Kotsilidis and, after the killing, about her intention to flee to Germany with the 20-year-old.
