Suspects fire Kalashnikovs against DIAS officers in Athens
Unknown assailants used Kalashnikov rifles to fire against special unit DIAS officers when the latter attempted to check their vehicle on Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred on Kedrinou Street, situated near the Greek police department’s headquarters (GADA), on Alexandras Avenue, in central Athens.
The suspects subsequently fled the scene in the vehicle.
The car was later discovered by police on nearby Achaias Street.
