Preceded by a taxi, Athens cabbies march through Syntagma Square yesterday, on the second day of a 48-hour strike against the government decision demanding the installation of cash registers in their vehicles. Strikers also want access to Athens bus lanes, and oppose plans to force taxi drivers to improve their manners. The strike was to end at 5 a.m. today.
