Man arrested in Karditsa in connection with Chios speedboat
A 21-year-old was arrested in Karditsa, central Greece, on Tuesday in connection with the interception last month of a speedboat carrying weapons off the Aegean island of Chios near the Turkish coast.
The suspect, who is currently doing his military service, is believed to have acted as an accomplice in the case.
His identity was not made public.
Two Greek and two Turkish men have been charged with multiple terrorism-related offenses after they were arrested transporting anti-tank weapons, handguns and hand grenades, as well as improvised explosive devices.
