Man stabs brother to death in Messinia

A 41-year-old man has been arrested in Messinia, in the Peloponnese, for allegedly fatally stabbing his 37-year-old brother during an argument.

The incident took place on Friday night.

Neighbors told police that the two men were arguing outside the 41-year-old’s house, which was next door to his brother’s property.

At some point, the older brother entered his home and returned with a kitchen knife, which he used to stab the 37-year-old in the leg.

The victim was taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

His brother handed himself in to police soon after.

It was not clear what prompted the row.
