Gunmen raid bank branch in Athens children’s hospital

Two masked gunmen raided a branch of Alpha Bank on the first floor of the Aghia Sofia Children’s Hospital in Athens on Friday, causing upheaval among patients and visitors to the institution without provoking any injuries.

The two men burst into the bank just after it had opened, at 8.10 a.m., and threatened bank staff into handing over some 5,000 euros before fleeing on foot.
