Five held for assault on athlete
Three French tennis players, a German national and a Romanian hotel employee were reportedly remanded in custody Wednesday after defending themselves before an investigating magistrate in connection with the alleged gang rape of an American tennis player during a tournament in Marathon, north of Athens, earlier this month.
The unnamed woman said she was raped in her hotel room in Marathon by the five men.
