Ministry distributes 25.5 million euros’ worth of food
The Agriculture Ministry on Friday began distributing 25.5 million euros’ worth of free food, which some 900,000 Greeks are eligible to receive.
The first stop for the distribution was the children’s organization The Smile of the Child, where pasta and cheese was given out (photo).
All of the food, destined for the Greeks who have been worst hit by the crisis, is due to given out by the end of the year, with the help of the Church of Greece, municipalities, charities and various other groups.
