Veteran MP Glezos recovering after successful gallstone operation
Manolis Glezos, the veteran SYRIZA MP and Second World War hero, has undergone a successful operation to have gallstones removed.
Glezos, 91, had been in the hospital since last week but doctors said he would be able to return home in the next few days. The lawmaker did not vote in Sunday’s ballot on SYRIZA’s censure motion against the government, which the leftist party lost.
