Motorist killed on Greek highway while checking car for damage

A 37-year-old motorist who hit a crash barrier on the national highway between Thessaloniki and Nea Moudania was killed on Thursday after being struck by a car while checking the damage to his vehicle.

The man, an Albanian national, died instantly, while his 37-year-old wife, who had been in the passenger seat, was transferred to the hospital with minor injuries, as was the 46-year-old driver of the second car.
